After watching Bryan Adams’s full house concert GET UP in Araneta Coliseum, we were thinking what to eat for our late dinner. We were searching for the any nearest restaurants; walking and looking for some affordable and reasonable price until we enticed at the Osaka Mix.

The area was spacious and they have special separate seats for those who wants some privacy. Each room has a “Hugot Board” where you can post some of your hugot lines, quotes, thoughts and etc.

Osaka Mix is a Japanese-Filipino restaurant located at the Araneta Center, Cubao Quezon City in front of Araneta Coliseum. It offers Japanese and Filipino delicacies ranging from ₱ 75.00 – 180.00. They have Rice meal, pasta, combo meals, desserts, and takoyaki. We ordered Kushikatsu with Rice(Combo Meal) and a Kare-Kare with Rice(Rice Meal).  The Kare-Kare with rice cost ₱ 120.00 and the  Kushikatsu with rice cost₱ 155.00. The combo meal has a Japanese healthy tea in the menu but we didn’t see any tea or drinks when it served. There’s nothing special with their Kare-Kare, it’s the same with others like in Barrio Fiesta.

Upon ordering Kushikatsu. You have an option to choose what to include in your Kushikatsu.  They have a three category: Main menu, Specialty and Vegetable.

Main Menu (₱27.00)

Beef, Pork and Cheese, Chicken Nanban with tartar sauce, Shrimp and Crab stick

Specialty(₱19.00)

Pork, Honey cheese, Fish BBQ sauce, Hotdog and Squid.

Vegetable(₱10.00)

Eggplant, pumpkin, sweet potato, Onion, and Nikomi daikon.

You can mix or combine all of the menus above but there is an additional charge for each dish you will include in your order.

I chose beef and chicken Nanban in main menu and squid in the specialty then Nikomi daikon in the vegetable.

Aside from the main dishes, they also have desserts and drinks.

SERVICE

It was a typical fast-food style. It took 20-30 minutes before our order to be served.

Overall, the taste of their food was pretty good but nothing special aside from making your own combination of Kushikatsu. We will try other dishes from their menu when we come back. So we can update you in this blog post.
